The Mold Removal Process

The mold remediation process will differ in scope and duration depending on the unique conditions of your property.  How we remove mold from an attic, basement or crawl space will all be different. The process of removing mold is completed in several steps. Again, depending on the situation the entire mold removal process can take a few days or longer.

Don’t be alarmed when you see our mold remediation experts arriving in white suits, respirators, booties, goggles and other safety equipment. This doesn’t necessarily mean we are removing toxic mold – this is simply standard practice in the industry and helps protect our workers.

Step 1: We identify the moisture source and cut off the mold’s lifeline

Step 2. We spray a biocide to kill the mold spores. We use an FDA approved biocide that begins killing mold spores on contact.  Depending on the size and scope of the problem, the biocide may need to work it’s magic over several hours to be fully effective.

Step 3: The mold is encapsulated using an FDA approved agent specifically designed for this purpose. The encapsulating agent traps the dead mold spore completely robbing them of air and moisture.  We  treat the area affected by the mold directly and the surrounding areas to ensure that mold does not spread to adjacent walls or floor boards.
